					<description><![CDATA[Excellent News.  The Community Services provided by Public Libraries are essential links for many elderly and unemployed, as well as both rural and housebound people. These are those most vulnerable targets which many local authorities propose to hit, terminating or reducing services to those most in need and those least able to defend themselves.  (The children, the poorest, the disabled and also those still information illiterate). Personally I have come to depend on the efficient information provision and professionalism provided by my local libraries, even though I would probably not appear in any measure of &#039;borrowing statistics&#039;.]]></description>
