They tell us it’s “investment” and “refurbishment” but it is really a shrinking of the existing library to make savings by moving council business out of other properties into the library, of course without consulting with the public on the library’s future.

Stratford library has a fabulous children’s library for the kids of Newham that will be swept away in this process and replaced by something inferior. Parents are demanding that these savings not be made at the expense of kids.
