I would get off the plain immediately. He can use words like “wings” “take off” “landing” all he likes. He clearly has no concept of reality or the skills needed. I have viewed the “evidence” given. This shows the dramatic fracture in understanding and approach and is mostly waffle. The last Library select comettee in 2005 warned of a service “in distress” nothing was done then. Nothing will be done now. Libraries are failing in schools (why is a school library not a statutory requirement) public libraries are failing FACT. Our national Literacy levels are falling FACT. Politicos don’t give a damn. Self evident FACT.
Ed’s plane will crash and burn and Ed is right, its all Andrew Carnegies’ fault. What was he thinking – education, opportunity for all and improved literacy? Brace for impact folks.
