Given that councils had to find 28% savings, and ONLY one in ten librarians are losing their jobs, it suggests librarians have been protected from the worst of the cuts. I set up a library campaign in 2010 because I saw it coming. It was on the cards since the completely unreferenced KPMG report came out. The professional body must surely have seen what was coming also. If not why not?! If they did why weaken their stance?]]></description>
