					<description><![CDATA[Nice to see a more balanced summary of the sometimes heated debate over the CILIP rebranding. As Chair of CILIP&#039;s Public &#038; Mobile Liraries Group I have already made my view that &quot;Library&quot; should be included in the name OR strapline very clear. However we have to remember over 50% of CILIP&#039;s membership do not describe their role as a librarian and that with the public library sector shrinking CILIP needs to recruit from a wider range of backgrounds. The idea of the consultation is to get input from members &#038; non-members (i.e. prospective members) alike. The best way to influence the outcome is to make constructive suggestions in a professional way. It is critical we look forward rather than backwards, there are a lot more pressing problems in our sector than what our professional body is called]]></description>
