					<description><![CDATA[As I told you long ago, CILIP is not a democratic organisation; it never was and I suspect the the LA wasn&#039;t either. When you lift the veil you find senior people working hard to keep the wool over everyones&#039; eyes. A disingenuous gloss is put on everything; the name change signifies that CILIP has finally recognised that there are soon to be no more professionals in this profession, so that word has got to go!! If it were not for the fact that there are still academic and special libraries in existence then the &quot;L&quot; word itself would have been also slated for deletion. Still, just my interpretation ...nothing much to see here ...move on.]]></description>
